Introduction

The game has 2 basic types of heroes, Combat & Development heroes.

Hero Levels

Heroes have different levels of potential that can be identified by their color. === Seasonal Heroes

Legendary – Orange

  • Legendary heroes have the most potential to grow with eight unlock-able skills slots
  • Slot 6 requires 1 duplicate slot 7 requires 2 and slot 8 requires 3
  1. Epic – Purple
  2. Rare – Blue
  3. Common – Green (Lowest potential to grow)

Combat Heroes

Combat Hero Skills

Starting Skill

For Combat heroes the first skill is always for bonus troop numbers. This is important and should be maxed as early as possible

Second Skill

For Combat heroes, the second skill is the hero’s specialty. After skill 1 this is the most important

Third Skill

Fourth Skill

Fifth Skill

For Combat heroes, the fifth skill is the hero’s secondary specialty. After skills 1 and 2 this is the most important.

Sixth Skill

Seventh Skill

Eight Skill

For Combat heroes, the eighth skill is the hero’s final specialty. After skills 1 and 2 this is the most important. Really after skill 1 this ia most important but requires so much more that in pretty much all cases skill 2 will be maxed before this gets unlocked

Development Heroes

Combat Hero Strategy

  • The only proper defense tools in this game are, teleports & shields.
  • Because of this it’s advised to use an offensive legion set-up for your Class legion. This means: HP / Might / Might (as covered on the: Heroes – General section). Examples of ideal setups:
  • General: North’s Rage / Yamaraja / Heaven’s Justice
  • Cavalry: Orochi / Rogue / Hurricane
  • (Defensive) Footmen: North’s Rage / Demon Spear / Heaven’s Justice
  • Archers: Orochi / Yamaraja / El Zorro

The main point is to have either North’s Rage or Orochi in first row due to their HP skill and after that put in heroes with a range that suits the position. Most players in the early & mid game are probably limited in their hero choice. So it’s good to get an understanding of the hero specifics skills & ranges.

Hero Skills

Each orange combat hero has the potential to unlock 8 skills:

  1. Increase troop count in the heroes squad:
  2. Hero attack skill 1
  3. Defensive skill (adds resistance)
  4. Offensive skill (adds might)
  5. Hero attack skill 2
  6. Awaken (adds might+resistance+HP + bonus to all Leadership Skills)
  7. Hero unique skill: HP / Resistance / Might
  8. Hero attack skill 3

Most important skills

Skill 1, 6 and 7 are the most important skills due to their effects. For skill 6 you will need a medal of the hero you want to ‘awaken’. For orange heroes this is difficult to get that’s why the Hero Development Plan (Benefit Centre) is popular. When purchasing this package you can choose one hero. This is the only chance in the game to choose the one you want so the advice is to go for an orange hero you already own to be able to get its hero’s medal. With this medal you will be able to unlock that hero’s ‘Awaken’ skill at the hero lvl 35. The 7th skill needs two orange hero medals but they can be any hero so don’t have to be the exact hero you are trying to unlock this skill at.

Unlocking Hero Skills

To unlock the skills of a combat hero you will need to reach a certain hero level, spent gold, wisdom medals & hero medals.

Requirements for unlocking the skills:

  1. Unlocked when receiving the hero
  2. Hero level 6 / Gold 200k / Wisdom Medals: 50
  3. Hero level 12 / Gold 300k /Wisdom Medal: 100 / Blue medal 3
  4. Hero level 20 / Gold 400k / Purple medal 10 / Blue Medal 5
  5. Hero level 25 / Gold 600k / Orange medal 1 / Blue medal 7
  6. Hero level 35 / Gold 1m / Orange medal of the hero 1 / Blue medal 10
  7. Hero level 45 / Gold 2m / Orange medal 2
  8. Hero level 50 / Gold 4m / Orange medal 3

Fully skilled orange combat hero requires:

  • Hero level: 50
  • Gold: 8,5 m
  • Blue medals: 25
  • Purple medals: 10
  • Orange medals: 7 (of which 1 the same as the hero you are upgrading)

Wisdom Medals

Upgrading Skills

Skills are upgraded by spending wisdom medals that you can get as rewards in the Events. Besides that, you can get them in the building ‘Arena’ by exchanging Hero medals + gold. This is where you will spend your green, blue & purple. Green can be exchanged for 5 wisdom medals, blue for 10 and purple for 50. Orange can be exchanged for 600. The advise is to not exchange orange medals for wisdom medals. This can be useful for experienced players but by that time you won’t need this site anymore.

Overview of the heroes

Below you will find a list of the heroes and what makes them unique in terms of: Troops they work well with (General = all), their specialty (7th skill) & Range (combat skills).

Skill Ranges:

The combat skills (2, 5 & 8) of the heroes have different ranges. This is important for the order you will place your heroes in your legions. I will classify the heroes under the terms Short / Medium / Long range. This basically means if a hero has short range, put him in the first row, medium up to second row and long ranged heroes can be placed in all rows, ideally the last one.

  • North Rage: General \ HP \ Short (2/3/2)
  • Orochi: General \ HP \ Short (2/3/2)
  • Yamaraja: Jin-Suo Bai: General \ Might \ Medium (2/3/5)
  • Hurricane: General \ Might \ Long (4/5/5)
  • Heaven’s justice: General \ Might \ Long (5/5/5)
  • Rough Rider: General \ Resistance \ Short (3/2/3)
  • Dual Blades: General \ Resistance \ Medium (3/3/3)
  • Demon Spear: Footmen \ Resistance \ Medium (4/4/3)
  • Roque: Cavalries \ Might \ Medium (4/4/3)
  • El Zorro: Archers \ Might \ Long (5/4/5)

Stamina & Hero sharing

Each Legion has maximum of 100 stamina. You can see the number near the hammer when you press you legion menu. Eaach time you send your legion on a mission the stamina gets drained by an amount that depends on the job you send the legion to do:

  • Gathering resources: 10
  • Attacking monsters: 10
  • Attacking Wight: 20
  • Rally (Undead) Giant: 20
  • Attack (enemy castle): 5
  • Occupy (during Reign of Chaos Event): 10

Because of this you are limited in the actions your legion can do.

Moving your heroes from legion to legion can be very useful during a killing event where there’s a time limit. This way you have a potential of 400 stamina for your strongest heroes instead of using weaker hero’s for the weaker legions.

Your Legion’s Stamina also gets refilled during gathering, waiting within your castle or reinforcing other players.

NOTE: Stamina in no way impacts the fighting ability of your troops, just the number of times you can send them out.

Hero tips & Tricks

  • Some would advise not investing too early in lower level heroes.
  • Veteran players advise Combat heroes are the most important ones.
  • Assets that you use to improve heroes early on might be sorely missed when heroes with better growth opportunities come along later

early that it’s important to recognize from the early game it’s not worth it to invest too much experience & nor too many resources in green, blue or purple heroes. It’s also not worth investing in development heroes in the early game. Investing means spending wisdom medals to unlock or upgrade their skills. By the time you reach Castle level 15 you will probably have one or two orange heroes.

  • If possible, time hero skill investments to coincide with daily challenges in that regard
